The Bode City Council met in regular session February 14, 2022 at 5:30PM in the council chambers. Council members Fulwider, Miller, Rongved, and Tepner were present; absent Hasjford. Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order, a motion was made by Tepner, second by Rongved to approve the agenda as posted. All ayes, motion carried. A motion was made by Rongved, second by Tepner to approve the minutes of the January 3rd and 24th council meetings. All ayes, motion carried.
Todd McMahon, City Maintenance, discussed receiving additional bids for the exterior of the water tower to be cleaned and repainted.
This being the time and place for the public hearing on the Proposed Property Tax levy; there were no citizens present and no written items disputing this tax levy. Following review, a motion was made by Fulwider, second by Miller to approve the Property Tax Levy as published. All ayes, motion carried.
A motion was made by Fulwider, second by Miller to Approve Resolution # 2022-02-14 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MAXIMUM TAX DOLLARS FROM CERTAIN LEVIES FOR THE CITY’S PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 2022/2023 CITY BUDGET. All voting aye: Fulwider, Miller, Tepner, and Rongved.
A motion was made by Fulwider, second by Rongved to approve the proposed 2022-2023 City Budget and set public hearing as March 7th @ 5:30PM. All ayes, motion carried.
A motion was made by Rongved, second by Tepner to approve a Class C Liquor License to Norms General Store with Sunday Sales. All ayes, motion carried.
A motion was made by Tepner, second by Miller to approve a 5-day Liquor License including Sunday Sales to the Bode Fire Department for their annual fun night scheduled for April 2nd. All ayes, motion carried.
The council reviewed a proposal that would offer short-term disability along with Group Term Life, following discussion this matter was tabled until the March council meeting.
Personnel Policy was discussed, this policy was adopted in 1998. City Clerk directed to email a copy to the council for further discussion/revision at the March Council meeting.
A motion was made by Tepner, second by Rongved to set the next meeting as March 7th. All ayes, motion carried.
